ECEC Practicum Exchange
The ECEC Practicum Exchange website (the website) is a website for ECEC educators and students looking to undertake a practicum placement and ECEC services looking to host ECEC educators-in-training to make contact with one another.

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified or reasonably identifiable individual. Personal information includes an individual’s name and contact details.
You do not have to provide any personal information when using the website, but any personal information you choose to provide when becoming a registered user will be handled in accordance with this privacy statement.
Sensitive information
Sensitive information is a subset of personal information. It includes information or an opinion about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of associations or unions, sexual orientation or practices, criminal record, or health, genetic or biometric information.
You do not have to provide any sensitive information to register for the website or when creating a profile. However, if you choose to provide any sensitive information where relevant, we require your consent.
Purpose of collecting your information
Your personal information is collected by the department for the purposes of registering you for the website and creating your profile, administering the ECEC Practicum Exchange website and policy development and evaluation.
However, your personal information will be de-identified before being used in any evaluation report in relation to the website.
If you do not provide some or all of the personal information requested, the department will not be able to register you for the website and establish your profile. This means you will be unable to connect with other educators and ECEC services via the website to arrange practicum placements. However, you would still be able to use the website to see whether there are practicum placements available.
Collection of personal information about others
The use of this website does not require you to provide information about other people or their opinions. Please do not provide personal information about any other individual unless you have their consent.
Disclosure of your personal information
When registered as a user for the website with a profile, limited personal information in your profile, such as your first name, work experience and education experience will be accessible to other registered users.
Additional personal information, such as your contact details, will also be shared via the website with registered users you choose to connect with.
The department may also share your personal information with its contracted service provider, 101 Web Technology Services Pty Ltd, for the purposes of developing and maintaining the website and to enable them to provide support services to you.
Your personal information may also be disclosed to other parties where you have agreed, or where it is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.
Your personal information is unlikely to be disclosed to overseas recipients.
You can close your account at any time, and this means your profile will no longer be accessible to other registered users, including registered users you choose to connect with.
